THE St. Robert's Tea also known as Chicken Foot Herb, Bird, Pigeon Foot with the scientific name Geranium robertianum L. in addition to blood purifier , it is also useful in treatment of hemorrhoids, stomach and intestinal ulcers.

It is still antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antidiarrheal , especially due to the tannins that compose it and have a strong and recognized astringent and vasoconstrictive action .

Through its use, it forms a protective layer on the inner walls of the intestine and its mucous membranes, contracting the capillaries and reducing fluid loss.

It is also useful in the treatment of hemorrhoids, stomach and intestinal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and heavy menstruation .

It is a diuretic plant, which is why it is used to treat some types of rheumatism and gout, as well as inflammation of the urinary tract and hypertension, and diabetes . It is also adjuvant in oncology , mainly in cancer of the digestive tract.

Topical use: in osteoarticular conditions, oropharyngeal inflammations and purulent skin conditions.

Infusion: used for stomach tumors and ulcers. Also applied externally to open wounds.

Active ingredients:

St. Robert's wort contains an essential oil (geraniol, citronellol, linalool, terpineol) with antiseptic, antiviral, anticancer and hormone-regulating properties. It also contains tannins with regenerative, astringent and haemostatic properties and flavonoids (rutin, quercetin derivatives and kaempferol) with antioxidant and immune system-stimulating properties. Its bitter constituents (geraniin) have digestive properties. This herb also contains phenolic acids with anti-inflammatory properties.
