The NPRO Butibifidus offers a triple source of butyrate. That is, sodium butyrate, 6 strains of bifidobacteria that increase butyrate levels, and nutrients (resistant starch and vitamins) that act as prebiotics for butyrate-producing bacteria. The aim is to provide colonocytes with their main energy metabolite, SCFA (short-chain fatty acid).
